Darcy Garden

Darcy Garden
Place Darcy, 21000 Dijon, France
0.27 km from the establishment

Darcy’s garden was the first public park in Dijon. Built in 1880 on the water reservoir, this 1 hectare park in neo Renaissance style is located in the heart of the city. At the entrance, the polar bear, by the sculptor Pompon, invites you to relax in this haven of peace. Enjoy the lawns, children’s play areas, numerous varieties of trees and flowers, ponds, fountains, waterfalls…

A place to relax, the Darcy garden, with its famous “Pompon bear”, is also a living part of Dijon’s heritage. With its terraces with balustrades, punctuated by two majestic staircases framing the lake, the Darcy garden looks like Italy. This area, which is very popular with Dijon residents and many tourists passing through, is next to the Hôtel de la Cloche and Place Darcy and is only a few minutes’ walk from the train station.

Open all year round. Every day and holidays from 7.30 am to 7 pm. Free of charge. Animals are accepted.
